About Batik

Batik Malaysian Indonesian Cuisine & Bar offers a culinary journey through Southeast Asia. Explore bold flavors from Malaysia and Indonesia at this Rego Park restaurant.

Located at 95-34 Queens Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374, Batik operates as an indonesian restaurant serving Rego Park in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Rego Park, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (718) 806-1890. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is batikcuisine.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 88 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded indonesian restaurants in Rego Park.

Rego Park is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Rego Park peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Have been here a couple times before and were good. On our most recent visit, maybe not as satisfied with some of the dishes. The Batik fried chicken breast was too dry. Beef Rendang was served on the dry side as well, with a lot of shredded meat which I didn’t mind bec flavorful but was hardly touched. The milkfish was good, filipino-style marinade, but pricey. Liked the Beef chow fun but was a bit spicy for some which was unexpected, esp. the kids. Fried calamari, the crab and salty fish fried rice, kangkung were some of the good dishes.

Finally really good Malaysian/ Indonesian food in NYC!!! I'm still mad at myself for not getting some food to take out after we were stuffed. Inspired by another friend's glowing recommendation, ten of us gathered to feast up. First of all, the staff at Batik are lovely and gracious. Our waiter showed us photos of dishes on his phone and gave very thorough explanations of the food. The food was DELICIOUS with complex flavors and varying levels of heat. They even brought us a few different sambals and chili sauces. WHAT WE ATE: Roti canai** Taro spring rolls Gado Gado Beef Rendang** Hainanese chicken** Char kway teow** Crispy shrimp stuffed tofu** Fermented Tempeh Okra Belacan** String bean, okra, stink bean & eggplant belacan Fried Milk Fish with chili mango Water spinach Indonesian Fruit Cocktail** Pandan noodle dessert **Indicates our favorite dishes Must go back for the meatball soup, nasi lemak and the chow fun! Go to Rego Park it's down the block from the r train.

Stopped by on a Friday evening. They have a page of Malaysian food, and a page of Indonesian food in their menu. We tried the Bakso and Bebek Set from the Indonesian menu. We really liked the Bebek set with a lot of interesting sides included. The fried duck itself was crispy on the outside and juicy / soft on the inside. The bakso was okay, the soup was fine but the I didn’t particularly like the mix of glass noodles and yellow noodles, the meatballs were okay. The server was nice. It seems that they have both Malaysian and Indonesian chef, so we will be back to try the Malaysian food next time. Very glad to see more Indonesian food restaurants opening up!

Very happy to find this place! Excellent authentic Indonesian and Malaysian food in a great location. I came in for lunch and everything was clean and well taken care of. Staff was very friendly and seemed very enthusiastic in talking about the various items on the menu. I had tea and coffee as well as several other recommendations. Everything was excellent and I cannot complain about the process. The sambal hot sauce is very spicey yet I kept finding myself putting it on all my food because it was so good! I cannot wait to come back!
